Dear Friends, Mates & Lonnie-Fans!
Yesterday I sorted out many old things + papers in my basement and found some interesting things about a few radio broadcastings I did in summer 1999 and early 2000 in Hagen + Iserlohn, Germany.
29.6.1999 Fölok (Förderverein Lokalfunk, Radio MK, Iserlohn)
I recorded a broadcasting regarding Lonnie which includes the following titels:
1. Always From The Heart*
2. Just A Little While To Stay Here**
3. Rock Island Line*
4. Spanish Nights*
5. Tops At Loving You***
6. Does Your Chewing Gum Loose Its Flavour On The Bedpost Overnight?***
7. Alabammy Bound*
8. Frankie And Johnny***
9. Poker Club*
* CD Lonnie Donegan: Muleskinner Blues
** CD Herz im Takt (Lutz Eikelmann)
*** CD Donegan Meets Leinemann
The only song (No.2) which was my own recording and not a Donegan one, Just A Little While To Stay Here, was full of energy, too, (thanks to the great spiritual singer Olivia Detante, tenor sax player William Garnett and my own drum-playing) and so I thought that was somehow close to Lonnie exciting vocals.
