Thanks everyone I guess I was a year out. I still have the ticket somewhere but can't find it at present.
Interesting comments on the Muleskinner Blues Album. I agree that the album was badly mixed and in some places badly recorded. While I was immensly honoured that one of my all time heroes had recorded one of my songs, I was dissapointed with the final result. Lonnie said that when he heard my song "I Don't Wanna Lose You" he thought it had a kind of Cajun feel to it. I can see what he was trying to do with it but to me the backing track sounds like the first take of a rehearsal,as it lacks life and there are a couple of mistakes. Lonnie talks the verse which I have no problem with (Lonnie was one of the first rappers) but I find the girl singers a little intrusive.
But I shouldn't winge as there are not many Lonnie fans who can say that he recorded one of their songs. It is one of the highlights of my life.
