Yes, it was one John Booker-Martyn. What you told us, Roger, is exactly what I have always supposed. Well, nice story... Regarding recording methods, yes, Lonnie, Denny, Mickey & Nick came from Jazz, like myself, but ask my musicians: when I invite to a recording session, we do not only record the songs from our daily repertory, I often ( = most times ) have some surprises for them and lots of the songs we record are done the first time by us. But of course you are right with that analysis, I agree.
