I have as well matt... I think its pretty common. Lots of people have sleeves but not suits or leg sleeves. So we go a little sleeve crazy. Gotta be careful workin leg bites, I had a cop at an event accuse me of kicking my own dog when I was working some sleeve/leg tranfers. BUT, having been heavy in MMA for a year and half I have leaned the impoirtance of not just grabbing an arm and spending all my energy trying to finish a choke. If my opponet offers an opening, makes a mistake i'm going to capitalize on that mistake and finish him. I know this has been talked about before on these boards but I cant understate enough the importance of what Butch talks about finishing the fight. I argue often w a local PSA decoy about changing bites mid "fight" .....Another note: I have had only one street bite. (Thug teen jumped my fence) The guy kicked my dog. My dog said "Hey thanks for snack" and kept his leg. He then gave my dog his arm, but my dog took his hand and damn near a few tasty fingers. mmmmmm. My dogs thinking and cool head impressed me to no end. Follow through!
