I would have to disagree with a lot of veggies. Dogs are carnivores and while they do graze a little on vegetation they have no need and do not digest a lot veggies. All dogs from pups to seniors do good on a diet based on a natural prey meal consisting of raw meaty bones and awful (organ meat, etc.). With our dogs we feed meals mostly consisting of chicken, lamb, beef, rabbit, venison and bison (meat with bone), we also add eggs a couple times a week, organs(liver, heart, lung, gizzards, kidney, etc) 3-4 times a week, also fish(mackerel usually) 1-2 times a week, grain free canned food with the protein being the major ingredient 1-2 times a week, pumpkin, yogurt, any left overs, fish oil and a multivitamin. Our dogs have been on raw over 8 years, they have NEVER been to the vet for any type of sickness, their teeth are perfect (even my 8 year old male), their coat is great, their stools are SOLID as a rock and are very small and they disintegrate into white powder, we NEVER have runny stool issues.
Hope that helps,
Lindsay
