The first thing a decoy needs to do to encourage the dog to create pressure is to get all four feet of the dog on the ground after the bite. This helps set the bite and encourage the dog to fight harder. A dog feels much more confident with all four feet on the ground. When the bite is set and all four feet are on the ground, the dog can take control and fight with more intensity.
