I dont have enough dogs or people to test this theory,AND, I realize that trying to teach it could,UNintentionally teach the other stuff you dont want, mentioned by others.but here goes..
Could the A/D,while in session,SOFTLY say the exact "out" word used by the Handler.....and then over time,progressively say the word louder and louder.
Or,at the same time the dog is being AG'd(especially when raging)...just randomly toss the word in along with all the other grunts and noises etc... that the A/D is usually already vocalizing.He doesnt even have to PRONOUNCE the word exactly at first,just "sound" like it,and lead up to the "word".Like introducing a stick/whip,just sling it around @ first, and the dog gets used to it,will ignore it.
I'm thinking,if the dogs do not understand our human"words"(english,yiddish,arabic)...just the EMOTION of the "word"......then when your dog is engaged with a bad guy,the bad guy, will just be yelling emotions at the dog to make him stop!...
HB,IMO,this is why your methods OVERRIDE all protests(command or not) from a perp......you teach them that the ONLY emotions involved are K9 & Family--it is ingrained from day one --u say kill-they kill---NO EMOTION or ACTION from the perp is gonna deter a dog you send.The K9 will just hear chinese.
