Why is that?

Is that because they expect the dog to be sleeve happy, or they are trying to make that way?
There is so much that I still do not understand about the Sport training techniques.
I have to REALLY concentrate to watch a Trainer, I naturally want to watch the dog. The dog's reaction is how I must judge a Trainers abilities. Is the dog serious? Is this a boxing match or a knife fight ... to the dog?
Can everyone on the forum look at a dog and see if he is serious or not? Butch, please explain how one can do that. My flashing neon sign above his head explanation does not seem to help.
I have had people get in front of Bruce and look in his eyes before and after Diamondplate switches him on. That does seem to help them understand some.
