I have always grasped the idea of YOUR dog only needing to be trained EXACTLY how YOU want/need it.period.
Which makes the search harder 'cus most Tr's have to get you to sign a lease to stay in their program for "x" amount of time($).
HB,you said you could tell that the guy in Houston?..was not (all the time)a sport TR.
Is it a way for a non-discerning customer to (VERY Early ON or immedietly) recognize a programs short comings?...before getting to deep in it?
Kudos to those who are willing to walk, once things become clear.
"PISSEMOFFNAKED" Brought me back a few short years ago,I used to kinda base a TR's ability to "go all the way" in Teaching PP... was if he had all the gear (muzzle,bitesuit,etc...)
my dog went to this facility, (a fine police TR school)..this method of "civil" agitation was one of the things that convinced me they were also great at PP,(which they said).
what forced me outta there, after Too long and too many$$,was..
...when checking in on their "other" training......They had a PITBull training for FR---a MAL. training for possible police work-and a fully TRained Personal Protection Rotty(just keeping sharp).....but you couldn't tell them apart when biting/performing.
they couldn't answer my question as to WHY? they all did the same things exactly,so,i had to leave.
