- A new face had wandered it's way into the realm of the Jaegers. The silhouette of the creature mingled without intent purpose through the landscape. Her course was unplotted and she made no effort to conceal herself. As she embarked from the trees the horizon greeted her in soft tones fortelling of the coming morn. She would stop here for now. Not for rest which was something that had evaded her for quite some time, but simply to watch and wait for what the day would unfurl. But now as she stood in such sweet solitude, she found no comfort. Caught in some wretched stale state between awake and asleep. How long had she wandered? ...and this place..oh Datura what have you stumbled into this time? The ground was warmer now as the sun fought harder to spit out jagged beams of light between the morning clouds. The air was still cool upon her flesh. Her feet brought her ever deeper into the unfamiliar land. The waves whispered softly into her ears as they reached, with such soft and gentle tendrils, to brush upon the sandy shore. It was an inconstant affair between them; the water and the shore. Like a wicked game between coy lovers. Her mind spun deeper as the sounds of the waves mingled with the clatter of winged beasts emerging from slumber and ever louder played the cacophony. It threatened to consume her now as the chocolate mass of her body began to sway, her slender legs had started to melt away.
- A jolt. It brought a sudden surge of consciousness along with it. She had to squint her dark eyes into the brightness of daylight which now consumed the landscape. Her pulse raced for an instant as she tried to claw desperately for focus. For how long had she stood? These episodes were most unsettling, even more so as they had been persisting more frequently. Her mouth was painfully dry as she gulped rather pathetically for a deep breath. The heat was unbearable. Was it not just a moment ago that the sky was woven tightly with clouds? Her gaze drew upwards to find with much dismay nothing more than a vast expanse of blue. Datura tried her best to let it leave her mind...tried to keep out all her dark passings of time, the pesky birds which always seemed to just disappear once she'd finally give chase. S h e could feel the subtle tugs of tension that lingered upon the moist air. She tossed her crest so defiantly as if to rid herself of the feeling of anxiety she had come to loathe with such intensity. The shade in the distance beckoned her and she would heed it's request. The aching in her joints would pass soon...if she just walked a little farther.
- The relief was not as great as she had hoped as she took refuge between some trees. The pulsating stings danced intently up and down her legs. The sticky itching dampness of her body was relieved for a few moments as she pressed her shoulder hard against the callous bark, her neck sweeping the tree's body into a fond embrace. A few strands of her dark mane were tugged away as the bark took hold of them, Datura didn't seem to notice, caught in a moment of bliss in the absence of her itching. A heavy sigh passed as she took once more to gazing around. The scent of others like herself was unmistakable. There was a slight uneasiness in her for she had gone so long without seeing another of her kind. Perhaps she would stand here unnoticed to them like she had to so many in her lifetime. But really, who’s to say?
