The program is called ImToo DVD Ripper. http://www.imtoo.com/products.html It's not free but some of the versions are not badly priced.
However before you get carried away I have found that it's not anywhere near as fast to covert them on my computer, my laptop can do most of a dvd in the time it takes my computer to do one episode!
Also I've found that there are a few sections in some of the mpegs that seem to get stuck. The sound carrys on as does the counter but the pictures stick, not huge long sections or anything, just the occasional 10/20 seconds at a time, every now and then. I'm not sure if these are ones that my computer has done, I wonder if it runs out of memory or something and that's why it happens. I need to test the theory by converting the same episodes on my laptop, I'll let you know what I find.
I think I may stick to the way I've been doing it (the way Amy taught me) for awhile. It takes about an hour an ep but I have most of the eps and since the my laptop is old it probably wouldn't be any quicker for me.
How long does DVD shrink take per ep, Anne?
