I recently attended a wedding where the mother of the bride - yes, mother not mother-in-law - wore white. THe bride was beautiful, everyone raised their eyebrows at the mother's poor taste, and that was the end of that. Same will happen here - you'll smile and be gracious, everyone will raise their eyebrows at her poor taste, and the day will be wonderful. Best wishes!
