Hello Jaycees! I hope the fall is going well for everyone. North Fulton has been busy with House on Horror Hill, and now we are gearing up for a winter full of community service projects. Last year, in January, we ran a coat and blanket drive, where we collected goods and took them to the homeless in downtown Atlanta. This project was a big success and we are determined to run it again. Several Jaycees have already approached us about accepting donations. We will be taking donations of coats, blankets, gloves, hats, scarves, etc, from now through the winter. We found last year that while blankets were appreciated, many of these people lacked even the basic neccessities to survive in the cold. They need hats, gloves, scarves, jackets, anything that can keep them warm once the weather turns cold and stays cold. Tony Crespin and Lisa Morris have already found a great deal of items to donate, which we really appreciate. We will be taking donations at the Haunted House through this weekend, at any project we are running, and at the House on Horror Hill Barbeque at the end of November. If you have a donation, please contact myself or Maria Basting and we will try to make arrangements to get them from you. Thank you in advance for your help with this wonderful project. Hope to see everyone soon!
In Jaycee Spirit,
Megan H. Athearn
