Its all politics. The city council wants to keep the Coliseum viable, but soon as another stadium is built the Coliseum is finished. The NFL has said it will not go back to football in the Coliseum because it is so aged and in the wrong part of town.
But because it is in a certain part of town the council wants it to stay open because it appeals to the voting contingent.
Its a disaster.
