Our autistic son was giddy. He was giggling and giggling saying...This is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.
We all had our eclipse glasses but took them off to look at the full eclipse which is safe to do.
Not very impressive watching a slow partial eclipse. Wouldn't do anything for one of those.
We had a partly cloudy day here. We had only intermittent views of the partial eclipse and concerns we'd be clouded out during the headlining act.
Right before the totality it cleared up completely around the sun. We had a PERFECT view of the full 4+ minutes. It was hard to take your eyes off it. God parted the Red Sea for us, so to speak. So grateful He did.
I was surprised how cool I thought that was. Didn't think I would think it was all that impressive. Maybe, the family's reaction had something to do with it...but it was awesome.
