a Blast like that was meant for Satori, even if he hasn't been around.
When Favre was acquired I asked how "tough it would be to take if Chili suddenly became as "Smart" a coach as McCarthy was in 2007"?
Because I could see this coming. Favre is a Coach on the Field. Now, I don't know that Chili is brilliant, but I also don't believe he was as bad as Packer Fans enjoyed making him out to be.
Sure he drafted Jackson, his "piece of clay", and down the road Jackson may become a decent NFL QB, it remains to be seen, he has a lot of NFL years left.
But Packer Fans sure enjoyed themselves when Chili trotted Kelly Holcomb and Brooks Bollinger out to face Favre in 2007, the year "Coach McCarthy led the Packers" to 13-3.
The Media has finally picked up on it, after the fact. from the Strib:
Isn't it amazing that when he had Favre, McCarthy was considered a young coaching genius and Brad Childress was considered a dunce, and now that Favre plays for the Vikings they both look like completely different coaches?
I mean, I don't know Jim Caldwell from Adam, and maybe he is a great Coach, but it sure helps to have Peyton Manning as your QB, just as it helps Sean Payton to have Drew Brees.
