Obama's first budget begins in the fiscal year 2010.
This years deficit will probably be known as the bush/obama deficit bc the budget was under Bush, but the stimulus was under obama. The stimulus was 1/4 of the entire budget, so Obama is partially responsible. I believe, if memory serves the budget was around 3 trillion and the stimulus was 750 billion (all approximations it was probably 3.05 trillion and stimulous was somewhere around 780 billion).
The recession and job loss started well before he took office. But, i'm sure it won't stop people from desperately trying to blame him for the mess.
