In the 4th quarter the Vikings were up 31-26, the ball was put into Aaron Rodgers' hands 1st and 10 at the Packers 19 yard line. Aaron Rodgers had an opportunity to bring the Packers from behind to take the lead in the game.
That's when I knew the game was over. Aaron Rodgers is not the QB who can pull out games for a team. He doesn't have that gift.
Anyone who watches Packer games can see that a high percentage of Aaron Rodgers completions are to receivers who are wide open. Rodgers will not throw the ball to receivers who don't have adequate seperation in his mind set. That is part of why his sacks are high. Rodgers needs open receivers to excel.
Aaron Rodgers has been blessed with stepping into the Packers starting QB roll when the Packers have one of the best receiving corps they have had in the past 50 years.
While Rodgers has these kind of receivers who are capable of getting wide open time and time again, Rodgers' numbers will be just fine.
When the time comes that Rodgers will have to play with marginal receivers, like Brett Favre did for most of his career in Green Bay, Rodgers will go down the tubes.
