Dear BBS and friends,
I unexpectedly have some free time since my boss cancelled my 10 am meeting (for which I have worked until midnight yesterday...oh well, I wasn't prepared anyway ;-)).
So here is a quick update on my life: Yuki and mom have settled in the new house, Yuki is behaving fairly well although as the time passes she becomes more and more "barky" because she takes ownership of her territory. Fortunately, around me there are plenty of dogs who bark as well so mine is not the only noisy one.
Work-wise I got a good news yesterday: the paper I wrote from my thesis has finally been accepted for publication after 4 rejections!! I am happy but mostly relieved that I do not have to look at that thing again (or better, I won't once I do the minor revisions requested).
As for the rest everything is going as usual, I miss all of you and really wish I could see you again soon, especially now that it seems I will spend Christmas in the US instead of Italy like I have hoped. Oh well, I suppose it could be interesting to have a Christmas cactus instead of a tree :-D
I suppose no one will write, but in case someone's reading this: have a wonderful week and stay posted, eventually I will send you pics of the new house, I promise ;-)
