a few months ago my DP Reaper bloodied up my female BB over some treats. (female vs female)
i learned my lesson and have kept them apart and recently lost my female BB to lymphoma cancer.
now i have just 2 dogs. ive never had a male/female fight. my male BB and Reaper get along great. i never dreamed Reaper would attack him. I tossed em some deer legs. they each had their own. Reap decided they should both be hers. I heard the roar from inside and thought Reaper will be dead. well, puncture wounds on my BB's throat and not a scratch on Reaper. my male is a dominant beast and no slouch. so 2 bloody boerboels later i live and learn. Reaper gives up 70 lbs to him. i dont like dog fights just telling the story cuz i am amazed by the tenacity of this DP.
Also with zero PP work Reaper knows what she was bred to do. i had her in the front of my office and our UPS guy had walked from next door vs driving up so i had no idea anyone was around. im busy and hear a very low growl. i look up to Reap with ears laid back walking slowly towards our glass door staring him down.
UPS guy saw her and did not open the door. but if Reap is introduced right she is very friendly. a great dog Dom.
ive watched her keep pace with a coyote in an open field. she can fly.
