This past weekend started with started with Happy Hour Hustle at QC's on Friday, Callahan's Bar and Grill for some Latin R&B with the band "Impulse" playing the sounds of Santana, culminating with a Disco Summer Luau at the legendary Circus of Hollywood on Saturday Night.
Callahan's Bar and Grill is is an ole Irish speakeasy located off Irwindale Ave. near the 210 Fwy. We hooked up with our ole friends Dimple baby and Carly
. Dimple Baby's dad is a very talented musician who plays a mean horn. Sweet-T and I have deep roots in Latin R&B from our ole HOP days in Puente Hills, besides Sweet-T is of Irish Ancestry.
I just wanted to thank you Carol (Dimple Baby) for inviting us. We look forward to the next set. It was a pleasure to meet your Mom and Dad .
Circus Disco of Hollywood played host to The summer Disco Luau!We reunited with ole friends Alfredo and Rosa, Lydia, Eddie Retro, George, Gus and Victor to name a few.
The place was magnificently decorated. The Big Kahuna would have been proud to throw a virgin into the abyss of the fiery volcano to please the Gods of Disco. The Classic Disco took me back to the 70s and 80s and parts of 2Ks. Dj AL "Musique Soleil", DJ Alex and Victor Flores were superb. Sylvia had so much NRG; I could scarcely keep up
. It was so cool and kool, with the A/C and ambiance of the night.
Sandy Musique Soleil and Circus Dora are such gracious hosts.
