DID can be caused by ANY extreme trauma in a person's life-not just child abuse. I believe you are missing the entire understanding of this. A person with cancer benefits from laughing. a person going thru a rough time benefits from being able to laugh. Just becasue the show is about DID doesn't mean anyone is laughing AT a person with DID anymore than one is laughing AT a person with OCD. I do believe you need not to take life seriously.

My gosh then they shouldn't have Desperate Housewifes on-it makes all housewives look like cheating stupid idiots! then no Gray's Anatomy-makes all doctors seem like sex maniacs.
