Michigan Nursing Home Staffing Rates
Michigan law requires 2.25 hours of nursing care per resident per day:
1 to 8 ratio on the morning shift, 1 to 12 ratio on the afternoon shift and 1 to 15 ratio on the night shift. Members of the nursing department are not permitted to conduct food preparation, housekeeping or maintenance tasks. (MCLA 333.21720a)
