Sorry it is Tuesday before I was able to writing about race day at the Derby but after the day I had and the long drive back it was a bit tired to say the least. And to be honest with you I really dreaded writing about our race if that gives you a little insight on how our Derby went. We had a good time with the normal pre race atmosphere that the Derby brings along, but I was really ready to just get in the car and forget about everything around me because I knew how good a car I had. So when the green flag fell I was ready and so was our car and it showed right away. We went from fourteenth to sixth in twenty laps and I wasn't even pushing it hard. Then somewhere around lap sixty-seven a few lapped cars spun in turn four to bring out the yellow and I was coming down the back stretch with my hand up and slowing down to let the drivers behind me know to slow down and all of a sudden here comes the #1 car of Tim Martin full throttle and nails be in the rear and destroys our racecar under caution! So needless to say our Derby was over and now you know why I wasn't rushing back to write about anything! LOL! Just be looking for a press release that will coming out sometime this week to give everyone a more detailed account of our Derby weekend. Also I want to send a big thank you to my mom and dad, everyone all year that has helped out with our CSR team, Independence for the Blind of West FL, and mainly you the fans! Look for us in 09!
