Line dancing is fairly popular on Friday and Saturday nights these days, so I think you would be fine in planning an outing. Most of the crowd respects the variety of individual preferences and if there is a group of line dancers for a particular song, they have equal claim to the floor, typically in the center as etiquette suggests with pattern dance or two-step songs, but the line dancers may take up a spot on one side or quadrant of the floor if it's a west coast swing sort of song, for example.
Speaking of line dancing...on a more general note to the masses regarding Thursdays...following the National Anthem and traditional Tush Push at 9 o'clock, Joyce asks that the floor be given to the people who took that evening's line dance lesson, and to refrain from couples dancing during the song designated for that evening's lesson. Joyce makes a point of asking this of everyone after the lesson, but there's often a handful of people who didn't hear her request. And given the choice, I would much rather sit out one song than get on Joyce's bad side. She may be small and meek, but she can kick with astonishing accuracy.
