You are correct in it is hard to learn new dances and try and get them going at BW's. I can talk to the DJ's and ask them that when we teach Sweetheart Stroll they announce what it is and ask the people who horseshoe to move more towards the middle.
As for the Barn Dance, we have been trying to get that one going, but the line dance seems to be more popular. If we can find a different song to do the Barn Dance, we can probably make it a go. I am the one who taught both and we do come up against both those things and we keep trying. So if anyone else has a different song suggestion, we'd love to hear it. County Fair by Chris LeDoux works, but doesn't seem to be long enough. I will keep looking and keep an ear out.
