I finally got Mastiff by Tamora Pierce, 600 pages! It was good, maybe could have been a little tighter, but I enjoyed it. There was a surprise at the end but all in all a good 3rd book.
I also ordered The Wild Ways by Tanya Huff. I didn't like it as much as Emporium, the first book but it was okay. It may end up at the library. I'm not sure it there will be another one in the series or not.
It's been cold here but no snow so far. I've got my pickup in the shop to get fixed so praying that's done before we get any. I'm working for the Ford dealership now - it's a good thing I get a great employee discount! I'm working in the parts department and I'm totally horrified by what parts cost, let alone $110 hr. labor!!
I just talked to my son in Rapid City, they've got 10 inches of snow so far this week! They're planning on coming for Christmas. He passed his dosimetrist boards this time - WhooHoo!! - the end of 3 years of studying!! He's very happy not to get up at 4:30 to study anymore. The hospital is working on a new job description for him. Hopefully it will mean a pay increase. The fact he passed his boards resulted in an attitude adjustment for some of the employees, they're not quite so important now that he's available to step up.
FYI - I don't know if this is kosher or not but I have an Amazon affiliate website: www.WandasCybermall.com If you're doing any shopping with Amazon I'd appreciate if you'd do it through my website. I can make a percentage of your purchase amount - In this economy every penny helps!
I hope all of you have a great Thanksgiving. I'm doing any extra paper route that morning so Megan can go to Denver to spend it with her sister. I forgot the papers will be gigantic with Black Friday ads. I think I'll bag them whether I actually need to or not just to keep them from flying all over the place. They're so hard to throw when they're that big.
Well, I'd best quit. The Direct Seller's showcase is tomorrow and I need to finish gathering up my display stuff for my Shaklee business. I wonder what it would be like to only have one job and make enough money not to need another one!! I doubt I'll ever know. Oh well, at least I'm working - and I have BENEFITS now for the first time since 1991. Have a good weekend!
