Do you have a lovely neighborhood? Are there parks and markets nearby? Is there fun, free stuff to do?
Whenever I move to new places (14 times in 5 years!), I like to ask people one simple question: "Can you tell me three things you enjoy about living here?" I've asked supermarket cashiers, co-workers, bartenders, I even asked the Governor of Iowa that question after I accidentally almost hit him in the butt with a pool stick at a club called Blues on Grande in Des Moines. You'll be surprised by the answers you receive. Some say libraries, safety, festivals or they'll tell you where to get a cheap, yet delicious something-or-other. Anyone can be a grumble bucket, so seek the positives!
