Ok so all of you know that I am totally against paying dues to either Palmetto Union or USARugby South. Well, all is about to change. I received an email asking if we would be interested in participating in the 2008 DII championship the first weekend in Oct. This will be a combined effort along w/ Charleston to represent the Palmetto Union at the USA Rugby South Championship in Memphis, TN. What this means is if we come out victorious we would then travel to play the other teams that win their TAU's championships. To learn a little more about the DII South Championship as well as DII Nationals you can visit the sites listed below. Ladies, this is what we are working so hard for and I believe if Charleston and Columbia join forces we can truly walk away winners! Let me know what you think so I can tell Charleston we are in. Last year they had to forefeit because they were light on numbers. I would hate for us to have to do that again when this state has such great talent.
