There are plenty of sportbikes every year, and no they do NOT ruin the spirit of the blessing but rather add to the total diversity.
I think the reason you don't see many photos of them is because they aren't the stereotypical 'bike' that the public recognizes.
I say welcome sportbikes, touring bikes, sport touring bikes, cruisers, dirt bikes, scooters...
