Tell friends! Tell everybody! Tell the king and queen, tell Mr.T, tell Blind Willie McTell, William Tell, Telly Savalas... No excuses, day off on Friday, everybody celebrate and have a good time.
Nominated for the 2008 Mercury Music Prize, Audioporn have become cult heroes on the alternative scene. Their first album 'TANK' was a unique modern day fable of escape from the ever suffocating rat race. Their new album 'A Message From Our Sponsors' - which they'll be performing in its entirety - is a fluid tour de force of angst, drowning debt bewilderment, life jacket wonderment and finger raising, joyous rock and roll.
"Tight, heavy, sweaty, funky music... waspish and witty... strange and warped. I'm telling you. Get some Audioporn in your life."
- Independent on Sunday.
"Incendiary four piece."
- Evening Standard
Perico will be playing to promote the release of their latest album and as such will be pulling out all the stops to make this a unique experience, enlisting a string section in addition to their soundscape of guitars, dulcimer, violins and trumpet... This will be their last performance in a long while and a great opportunity to catch one of the area's most creative bands.
"It's a strange improvised cocktail not on any existing menu, but Perico know how to make and shake it."
- Battersea Arts Centre, London.
"...wouldn't sound out of place in a Tarantino movie."
- Glasswerk.
"Utterly unique"
- The Guardian
The night will be opened by Pierre And Penny Le Blag who will pick up where they left off after a previous performance at Kyps that was described by the Bournemouth Echo as 'Captivating, memorable and heart-warming.'
