WE ARE FIVE!
Ejectorseat presents it’s 5th Birthday at The Hobbit on Sunday 29th March.
This March EjectorSeat will be 5 years old. Because they want to say “Thank you” to anyone that’s ever been involved, they are throwing a 5th Birthday party!
EjectorSeat has been bringing new music to Southampton, Winchester, Bournemouth and most recently Brighton. Willing to take a chance on some bands most local promoters would not have considered, they promote shows getting the best underground and unheard bands them to support international touring groups coming from as far away as Austria, American and many more from closer Europe. They have developed relationships with local artists, enabling some to work with the touring bands which has led to further supports slots on tour, re-mixes and releases as well as other collaborations.
The celebrations will be held in the form of a free all-dayer at The Hobbit on Sunday 29th March.
As ever, Birthday cakes (including vegan) will be offered for free, and as a special gift, a limited number of free Cds will be handed out to those that arrive first. The tracks will include several popular performances from Ejector Seat shows that have been recorded live including the very first gig in March 2004 with 65daysofstatic. Other tracks will include offerings from Youth Movies, Jonquil, and many more.
The efforts from local artists and designers who have collaborated with EjectorSeat for posters and artwork will be on display in the venue, with many examples going back 60 months to the start of Ejectorseat’s inception.
Headlining the show will be the fast paced French guitar and drums duo PNEU as the last date on their UK tour. Support comes from many of the best of the South coast’s up and coming talent including The Quartermass Xperiment playing their own upbeat electronica, folk talent Anja McCloskey who plays with Haunted Stereo, Bournemouth’s Little Boat playing minimalist guitar efforts, Lord Tempest’s noisy animal collective musings, Brighton’s Esben & The Witch will play their own brand of moody indie, and in main support will be Defibrillators performing their improvised rock using a Wii and as many percussive instruments as will fit on stage!
The bands kick off at 4 and will run until 10pm.
