My name is Robert Bruce; I am a 44-year-old man living in Berrien Springs, Michigan (home of Andrews University). I admit to presently being an agnostic, and I also admit to being "duped" by the media/government at the time of the seige of Mt Carmel. I recently read David Thibodeau's "A Place Called Waco"...I read it with a great deal of restraint, figuring that it would present a fanatic's skewed point of view. Simply put, the book greatly impressed me, as did the author, and I have become greatly interested in getting to the truth of the events of Feb-Apr 1993. I am now convinced that a horrific wrong was committed against the Mt Carmel community, and that Justice is LONG overdue for those who conceived and carried out what was, in my opinion, a pogrom against the Mt Carmel community.
A large part of my life has been devoted to the cause of Justice; I was, almost entirely single-handed, responsible for the removal of a corrupt police chief in my own community against overwhelming odds (our county newspaper, St Joseph's "Herald-Palladium", honored me as being one of Berrien County's "Winners" for 2007 as a result of my efforts).
I now turn my attention to seeking justice for the Davidians. You can keep track and/or contribute at "wacotimeforjustice.blogspot.com".
I am confident, as I was confident against overwhelming odds while seeking justice in my own community, that the truth will "out" and that lawful justice will come to those who, in my opinion, were complicit of murder at Mt Carmel.
