There are 2 of us at our local hospital who qualified in March and we have just taken part in Competencies to move up to Band 4.
Basically for us Competencies consisted of applying the most common casts in our department in pop and synthetic, cant remember how many were on the list but quite a lot as we have just finished them, apart from casts there were various splints that are common to our plaster room, ie: 3 panel, braces etc.
We did argue that we had attended the course in Bradford and passed the exam at Stanmore but this is down to your local trust.
