Steve,I wished I'd put in a plastic air space under my roof,I didn't even think because I went from a 6 ft roof to a 11ft roof,it would be that much to heat,but it sure makes a difference.
I have a second story in that greenhouse,so I climbed up the latter,it felt cool up there but not cold,the bromelaids seem to like it alright up there.I have a fan up pointing down,to bring the warm air down to the floor level,which the temp was 46* this morning for the low,I can live with that,but I prefer it to stay around 50* or more.
Mike,yes I keep all my greenhouse heated,all different sizes.
10x20 sunroom- mainly just palms
16x34-attached to the sw part of house,tropicals
8x10-bromes,palms,and huge bananas,trunks 10ft
10x10-bananas in fruit,plus palms,and plumerias,
this greenhouse,heated by elec. space heater,everything else natural gas,I keep them all about 65* nite 85* during the day,I have remote digital thermometers so I can see what there doing temperature wise with out leaving the house.
Sunshine and 31* at now!!!
