Hi Terry. Nice to meet you. Thanks very much for your compliments. The trachy is doing well but the two newest fronds both have a yellow stripe going from one side to the other. I think it was just because the spring was so wet and chilly. I've seen it on quite a few palms in The Virginian's yard also. Apparently it is normal and has not effected the growth rate or appearance at all. It actually looks kind of cool like its variegated. (Pic below)
You definitely got it right. Thats exactly how our spring was. Its seems to all be behind us now as today we should reach 88 and its sunny. I love it! It sounds great what you're doing and post some pics if you can. I love seeing other people's stuff in the same climate as mine.
Heres the pic of the trachy lines and some of the garden now. I did cut the two lowest fronds off of the trachy because they were starting to get very close to the ground and they needed to be pruned off.
