Hi Jay in PA. This is Terry from north/central NJ. I just saw your pictures of what you planted in the spring. The Windmill looks picturesque. Is it doing well and growing fast now. It looks like we're in the same climate. It seemed like every night in May was in the 40's. And May was 3 deg. below normal. But it felt like June was maybe above normal. And I noticed in the pic. some water in the background and maybe? you're up on a hill? Does your house block it from any wind you might might have? I have a Bulgaria planted out in the open and 2 OK sabals on the north side of the house - so they are definitely exposed. But they should be tough - I hope they make it. Even though there are woods, there's still some biting winds in winter. Some other palms I'm just now planting are going right beside the house. Just to better pinpoint my location, I'm like exactly 22 miles west of the World Trade Center and downtown Manhattan. Winter lows are often at least 7-8 degrees colder than NYC. But right now these daily temperatures well in the 80's are great aren't they? I hope you're seeing lots of growth on your Trachy and other palms/plants as well... And we have all of July and August to go. Well I won't keep you. So long, Terry
