Hi Linda
It's great to here from another enthusiast! I like your attitude about the plants you've killed - haven't we all!! :-( I have the same soil issues here, silty clay - remnants of Lake Bonneville. It's either mush or hard as stone. I've tried every conceivable watering approach and the only one that works for me is a short time daily, the deep watering every three days simply produces a half dead lawn and garden.
I haven't done anything yet with either pawpaw or figs, but plan to at some point in the future. Jay has my Brazoria and Needle on their way and they'll be in the ground by this weekend, I can't wait!! He should be posting pics of his real new addition in a short while now, next week I believe.
Well, got to get to work now.
