Hi Craig
Besides melianthus, I really like tetrapanix papyrifer, elephant ears, variegated cannas(pretoria and tropicanna), Dracunculus vulgaris(voodoo lily), petasites japonicus and, of course, bananas.
I'm sure there are others I've forgotten to mention, but these are definitely some musts, for me.
