Newbie rider not sure what sort of answer your looking for but haven't heard of a 350 head being used. I certianly don't go into all this secrecey about what we have etc. we bought an engine just before British champs last year which is an older type 250 which has been suggested it has a 350 casings? Because of that when we had to have a new barrel and piston for this year I had the bore & stroke checked!!
Fast engine doesn't always make a fast rider.Cal had a fast motor once and he went backwards. Yes you do get a good rider who can handle a fast bike but whether they learn anything is another conversation.
I would like to know how much of a difference a fast engine makes and how much is it about the rider, I have tried to ask the riders out their in the 500 but you can never get an answer..lol
All the best newbie on your 250. Get the gearing right and your half way there. We're still learning and if I hadn't had some advice Cal probably wouldn't of done so well on weekend? Small changes make a big difference!
