A distraught Daisy the mother duck was interviewed by police today alongside the Northwich Road bridge. She said that she'd been trying to teach her six ducklings to fly for days now and they seemed to have become quite depressed about it.
Without warning they just threw themselves off yelling 'we'd rather die than fly'!
Two are receiving treatement in the local vets with broken legs and wings. The other four never survived. Daisy is naturally distraught and could only say 'if only Danny Drake their father had been here he would have sorted them out!
