Why can't someone reprint a nice article like this:
Community groups in Weaverham are joining together to make sure the village is covered in flowers in time for the summer months as part of a Cheshire-wide project.
Parish councillor and village resident Pam Shingler has organised the various groups within the village to take part in the Cheshire Year of the Garden 2008 campaign.
Representatives from the Weaverham Trust, the village gardeners' group, Churches Together, Weaverham History Society, Scout members and children from the community centre have all pledged support to brighten the appearance of the village.
The group has been awarded £500 from the parish council, and is hoping to secure a similar amount by applying for a grant from the Cheshire Year of the Gardens community committee.
They are looking to plant flowers in various locations, including the planters in the village, on Sandy Lane, in the copse on Lakehouse field and on Russett Road.
Pam added: "We have written to highways for permission to plant on Sandy Lane, and also written to Vale Royal Borough Council for permission to plant in the planters on Lime Avenue. ..."
That's that James Wilson who is the other half of the usual attendance at the council meetings.
