At approx. 7 p.m. tonight Friday 22nd February, parts of Weaverham were swarming with police wearing body armour and carrying guns. Both the police helicopter and aeroplane were utilised. The area concerned was near to the Hanging Gate Public House and the roundabout on the A49. Patrol cars were positioned all over this area. At the same time an incident at the end of Forsters Avenue and Wallerscote Road was being dealt with. Three amublances attended and there was at least one casualty. A mini motorbike was abandoned in the hedge and given a police guard for over an hour before it was removed from the scene. More Soon.
