Council News is probably readily available to local people each week or day but for the far flung travellers a bit more difficult, so:
From the council meeting of 10th December 2007:
Peter Andrewartha wished everyone a happy Christmas and this was duly returned - He's a lovely sensitive lad - isn't he/
Lakehouse Field - although secured in perpetuity perhaps there is still some doubt about who can use it and why and what for - surely it is a village facility and can be used by any villagers and/or village organisations - for goodness sakes!
A highlight appeared - posting minutes of the council meeting on the internet may encourage local young people to be more involved - yes true - but what about all those othe ex-residents that still take a keen interest in Weaverham around the universe?
Lake House Field is being abused! - Football seems to be the culprit!
Beach Wood trespasser will now be held at Beach
wood while the police /fire brigade are called. Stewards have been appointed to remove trespasser!
burial grounds in Gorstage have been challenged! - they apparently are being used by Winsford residents (I assume that is deceased residents!) -apparently anyone can use the grounds provided they use the necessary channels ( are these actual channels to transport he coffins by barge or someup?)
All members of the Parish Council have been urged to reduce their Carbon Footprint!
Peter Andrewartha - gates behind his residence have been fixed following vandalism - and he? has set up a camera to catch the offending parties!
Cllr W REynolds said that the paving flags by the Ring )'Bells are in a terrible state and are a risk to public health and safety!
Community Safety Officers - Speed Indicator Devices (SIDS) have been recalled for upgrading!
Erection of four wind turbine generators up to 125mts high have been protested and a 'protest fund' created!
