They are both beautiful! I have been able to find them pretty cheap at the end of the season at places like Walmart, too. (maybe $5 or $6 for a gallon size plant, which would be nice and easy for you to schlep across campus) ...
... both of them are fairly upright though ... I have a few down in Salisbury, Md., and when I planted them I never know about the difference in habit. Right now the "Snowflake" which has a very horizontal habit is blooming. Very pretty plant. My mom and dad got it for me as a housewarming gift when we visited Homestead Nursery together several years back (2001?) ... it always makes me smile and think of them and that day. Taken a few photos and sent them - might be able to this year, too.
But I digress ... how large is that bed? You don't think a camellia would outgrow it?
