Hi all,
We've had a lot of discussions about soil type, composting and so forth, talking about the soil and how important it is to take care of it and improve it in order to grow better plants.
Well, just now I got an email about the Mid-Atlantic Hort Short Course, Jan. 28, 2010, in Virginia Beach. Their theme for this year is "Gardening Starts Down Under" and it's all about soil and improving it ... they also will have a speaker who will keep with the "Down Under" theme and talk about Australian perennials developed for drought tolerance and beauty.
Here's the link to the registration page for the course:

Looks like a great agenda and also a great excuse to get away for a day or two in the dead of winter.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to go, but I hope one of you might be able to make it - and can post notes afterward!
