Hi Dave, and Jake - thanks for the input! You know, I think I will hedge my bets and try it both ways. I have one very large pot of ginger that is just too big to overwinter. I may just cut it back and try overwintering as a rhizome.
I also have another pot that has a smaller ginger in it. I could pot that one down and try to keep it as a plant. Thanks! I'll let you know what happens!
