A link below to the latest blog post of Larry Chapp, whose writing has provided me with hours of enjoyment, including many lol moments of entertainment.
Larry is a retired theology professor who has of recent years run a Dorothy Day inspired 'Catholic Worker Farm' in Pennsylvania.
Bourbon-drinking, cigar-smoking Chapp was once asked by a student, "Can you get into heaven if you smoke?" To which Larry answered "Yeah, quicker."
In his recent blogs, Larry has perceptively noted that liberal Catholicism is in fact an anti-gospel of unbelief masquerading as belief, that Voris is an imbecile, Taylor Marshall is an either disingenuous or ignorant or both click-baiter and that he'd rather binge watch Gilligan's Island than spend time talking about Archbishop Vigano (while not being able to resist doing so).

Taking your word for it, Tony, that Chapp considers Voris to be an imbecile, I think he is making the mistake of fending off possible allies in the self-assurance that he is the only one with the truth. In that, he is as much a my-way-or-the-highway merchant as many of those he opposes. Sure, the numbing and dumbing of the Church needs to be exposed, but it seems to me that Voris – heavy-handed as he might be – is achieving part of that process by calling out various cohorts and individuals who are destroying people’s confidence in the Church by their actions and negligence. There are many ills in the Church, and it is refreshing that Chapp is attacking the more insidious undermining of the Faith by spotlighting those who numb people’s Faith by an insistence on “nice” rather than true and accurate. But, to my mind, he is not going to change the culture by himself.
As an aside, I find his treatise difficult to read in long bursts, as black on mid-grey itself has a rather numbing effect on my aging eyes and mind. Anyway, I’ll press on with the article once I’ve given my eyes a rest.
I think, John, that Larry would be thinking with friends like MV, who needs enemies, as I certainly do.
Below is the introductory paragraph of Chapp's blog post about Voris, including the imbecile quote:
At long last I turn my attention to the more-Catholic-than-thou pit bull of Detroit, Michael Voris. Voris is the brains (sic) behind the media sensation known as “ChurchMilitant” and has posted a series of YouTube videos called “The Vortex” wherein, in his own words, “lies and falsehoods are trapped and exposed.” He intones these words while twirling his pencil around in the air, like a makeshift wand, which acts as a fair warning that what is about to come will generate as much destructive wind as a broken fan. His style is angry and pugnacious, with an in-your-face, rapid fire delivery that gives off an air of smug, know-it-all, condescension toward his absent targets. Frankly, as I hope to show, he is an imbecile. If you find that harsh I really don’t care, because he is a bully who deserves to be treated like one. Nor do I care that he occasionally does a good job of reporting on the ongoing sexual abuse crisis in the Church because there are lots of good people doing the same thing whose credibility far surpasses Voris’s and, to be blunt, he gives those of us who care about such things a bad name. Jeffrey Epstein may have been good at throwing parties, but I wouldn’t want him as my daughter’s wedding planner.
I'm sure he's under no illusions about changing the world alone, John. Our own Dr Phillips Martyr, who contributed a depressingly accurate summary of our situation in Aust. on the blog, Rod Dreher who gives Larry plenty of airtime on theamericanconservative.com and super impressive young bloke Zac Rippen who runs creedalcatholic.com are just three brothers in arms off the top of the blog. All of whom, via their tangible charity, have infinitely more cred than Virus and Taylor ever will.
Larry is orthodox, faithful, learned and, I think, wise and enjoys the support of a wide network of like-minded folk, just when taking into account hundreds of his ex-students, some of whom are good priests who remain in touch.
There is an interesting interview of Chapp by Rippen there which covers a lot of the ground, including a fleeting mention of MV, if the type stops you persevering.

Reading is a very useful thing, it helps to develop thinking, it's good for writing papers. But when I have problems with this, I turn to specialists https://customwriting.com/statistics-project Only they can help with writing a unique and competent work, this is very important for my teacher.
