Todays's Gospel addresses Jesus' menacing interrogation by the Pharisees determined to trip him up over the matter of the Laws of Moses that for most Jews governed their daily life. In their attempt to lead Jesus to make a misstep the Pharisees were surprised when Jesus replied that the two greatest commandments of God, per the tablets handed to Moses by God, invites all the faithful to love God and love their neighbour as they would wish to be loved.
In other words the two greatest commandments are interwoven to reflect the awareness that to be able to love God, we must also love our neighbour.
The Apostle Luke elaborates with very few words: And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them ~ Luke 6:31
Judgement of others is a pharisaical mindset that can be easily discovered masquerading behind the pronouncements of the religious conservative, and the radicalised reformer insisting that they know best when insisting that they are the fountain of divine truth.
Until his Damascus Road enlightenment event Paul of Tarsus believed that serving the Laws of Moses was the one and only way to obey God. Paul's conversion enabled him to understand that The Saviour lives within the life of every human person without exception.
15 “If you love me, keep my commands. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. ~ John 14

Hypocrisy was apparenty a trait of Pharisees too...
"Judgement of others is a pharisaical mindset that can be easily discovered masquerading behind the pronouncements of the religious conservative, and the radicalised reformer insisting that they know best when insisting that they are the fountain of divine truth." Brother Alex
Therein you've just made a judgement of others LOL...go figure... It seems it's not "judgement" you have the problem with but "judgement's Alex disagrees with"...
So which version of the "truth" are we going to use for the basis of "judgements" ...the Magisterium of Alex? or the Magisterium of Christ's Church?
Re: Hypocrisy was apparenty a trait of Pharisees too...
An observation is never judgemental when it brings into focus the easy willingness of the human person to assume the position of judge, over those who they assume do not fit in with their easy choice to judge others unworthy, living their life in pursuit of the truth of who they are becoming.
Realising the truth of who we are, sets us free to become the reflection of The Father's plan for our life. 31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” ~ John 8
Despite all that every human person shares in common, no two human beings are alike. Even twins are known to demonstrate different personality types, despite their external appearance evidencing their commonly shared traits.
“Remember that you are never alone, Christ is with you on your journey every day of your lives! He has called you and chosen you to live in the freedom of the children of God. Turn to him in prayer and in love. Ask him to grant you the courage and strength to live in this freedom always. Walk with him who is ‘the Way, the Truth and the Life’!” ~ Pope John Paul 11
