Further to the foregoing, one thing the conservatives, the insecure and those who presently control the institutional agenda seem to believe is that the alternative to their view of Church is anarchy and chaos — a world without rules and discipline. In all of my conversations with people over the years who are disillusioned with the direction that has seen so many stop listening to the institutional leaders I've heard very few who advocate forms of anarchy and libertarianism. Same goes for my attempts to listen to the various conversations amongst different sectors via the internet. Most people do appreciate that life, and spiritual growth in particular, requires some form of discipline and obedience. The BIG question, or the BIG dispute, is over discipline or obedience to what?
